Well my blog has a new name! I struggled a bit with the naming of my blog for a while and came up with "Life as we know it" since our lives are going to change once this little one arrives. The more I thought about it, the more I felt that while my blog is about our family changing and this new little life coming into our world, it's also about everything and everyone I love and care about so the name didn't exactly fit. It came to me this weekend when I was at my Aunt Kelly's for Madelyn's confirmation party. For those of you who do not know my family-we are story tellers. I think that's something that comes along with being Irish. The best story tellers in my family are of course Gram and Pop. Every time we get together we reminisce and tell stories-some new, and some we have heard over and over again but cannot seem to get enough. So of course with my having my baby we were telling stories about me as a little kid. I can spare you the crazy details for a later date but the new blog title came from my short lived talk-show as a child called Kelly's Corner. It was improv at its finest. Whenever Pop brought out the video camera I had an episode of Kelly's Corner. All in all there may be only 3 episodes, but even so, I had a theme song AND commercials and it's a long running joke in our family about Kelly's Corner. After laughing until tears came out of my eyes yesterday it hit me...THAT should be my blog name! I am hoping to get some video footage of Kelly's Corner to post soon, but the 'show' was about everything and anything, much like this blog is becoming. So how perfect and fitting is that!?
