This may be the last time...

It seems like lately I keep thinking to myself:  "this may be the last time I yada yada before the baby arrives."  Anything from brushing my teeth to showering. I cannot seem to wrap my head around the fact that any moment now our lives will be changed forever.  I make myself crazy just thinking about it.  I mean this could even be my last blog post before Clarence is born!  The checklist items are dwindling down and I am really feeling somewhat prepared to take care of a tiny human being.  I am hoping slightly that I at least can make it through the weekend so I can just relax a bit and make sure everything is together.  Here is an update on the checklist:
  • Re-paint the babies room
  • Baby Shower
  • purchase anything we still need for when the baby arrives
  • Meet with the pediatrician (scheduled for February 2nd!!)
  • Get new tires on the civic-hopefully happening this weekend?
  • Make and freeze some meals/stock up at BJ's   I gave up on the make and freeze meals things...I think we will be just fine!
  • Create/finalize our birth plan
  • Pack bag for the hospital
  • Finish the nursery
    • crib set up
    • dresser/changer set up and organized
    • accessorize-my favorite thing!
  • go through gifts and sort out duplicates for returns- we've done half of this...half of our gifts are still at my moms
  • create shopping list for final necessities
  • install car seat and get it inspected
  • Set up inspection for car seat
  • write and send Thank you's
  • set up newborn photo shoot spoke with Jewell on the phone to get all the details...the actual shoot will take place soon after the baby is born.  We are so excited!
  • clean my old hamper We actually found a cute one at Babies R Us so I wont be using my old hamper.
  • clean out car
  • finish last minute packing and bag for Tommy (make list in case it doesn't get done before it's time so I can pack without forgetting anything)
  • research baptism info (ok we're late on this one I know...)
  • Set up baptism/class
  • purchase washer and dryer
  • finish basement cleaning/organizing
  • make sure taxes are taken care of
  • Set up Bill Pay for any bills due this month
  • wash some clothes for baby
  • get house clean and organized-keep it that way!
  • set up pack n play
  • get swing
  • set up Travel Stroller
  • stock up on groceries/hit up BJ's one last time
  • remove old stove from kitchen
  • take the leaf out of the table to make room for pack in play/swing
So you see...only a few items left and if I don't get to them before the babies born I am ok with that.  The basement cleaning/organizing I feel like will get done definitely after the baby is born (unless I am still pregnant next week and bored out of my mind).  The dresser was delivered today and hopefully we will be setting it up tomorrow.

For some reason I have been super focused on the babies first holiday-Easter.  Yes I am aware that it could be Saint Paddy's day but other than wearing green and celebrating being Irish, Easter is really the first 'gift' holiday the baby will have and I am super excited!!!  I have been very excited about getting the baby his/her first Easter Basket and plan on purchasing one from Pottery Barn Kids.  I have two picked out-one boy and one girl-and once the baby is born I will personalize and order it!  The baby already has a cute My First Easter outfit and I've purchased 3 bunny books (Peter Rabbit, Velveteen Rabbit, and a Babies first Golden Book).  I am also looking for a beautiful plush rabbit to add.  I am thinking that should be good.  I have bought Easter candy but mainly for Mommy and Daddy and I am sure Clarence won't mind sharing!

Today also also marks 39 weeks!  Only one more week until the due date and it's possible we will be holding our little one in our arms before that!  It's unreal.

I made sure to take this weeks bump picture before work in case I didn't make it to the end of the day or even this Saturday (which is typically when we have been taking the pictures).  Of course I thought:  "This could be the last bump picture" but we shall see!  I am really feeling like I've dropped now...you may not be able to tell from the picture but the baby is definitely lower.

Clarence is still very active, especially after dinner!  I think this baby is going to be a night owl!  I better start getting used to nightly wake-up calls...
