10 weeks and 2 weeks

Lilly is 10 weeks old and by the time I get around to posting this blog she will be well on her way to 11 weeks!!  This past week she had her 2 month check up and she weighed in at 12lbs and 2.6oz and a whopping 24 inches!  She's a tall girl!  She did so well and Dr. Minton claimed her a happy and very healthy baby!  Yeah!  After Dr. Minton left the nurse came in to give her her 2 month shots.  Her cute little smiles quickly turned to a lip quiver and by the time the second shot was in she was in a full blown cry.  The nurse was wonderful and was very fast and soon Lilly was snuggling with her blankie and paci with mommy.  I hate shots myself so I felt her pain.  She snoozed the rest of the way home and was a little cranky the rest of the afternoon-I am guessing her poor little legs were sore.  I was so proud of her (and me that I held it all together!)

Lilly had another busy weekend attending Claire and Colleen's high school graduation on Saturday and celebrating Aunt Barbara Ann's birthday on Sunday she's one party animal.  Here are some pictures of Lilly partying it up since we didn't have an official 10 week photo shoot.
 Partying is tiring!
Hanging with Aunt Baba on her Birthday! (she blows bubbles when she's happy!)
Party Animal!

Keeping busy has just made the time go by so much faster for me.  This 12 week vacation I have had that seemed like so long 12 weeks ago is not nearly long enough.  Every day I hold my Lilly while watching Ellen and little bit of my heart hurts as I think about the days I have left...just 2 weeks left.  As much as I love my job and realize that this is something I need to do for my family, if I won the mega millions tomorrow I would simultaneously write my resignation letter.  But part of me smiles when I think about all of the fun times Lilly is going to have with her Daddy!  I am thankful that I won't be dropping her off with strangers-now don't get me wrong I am not against day care at all and it may just be a possibility in the future but having Lilly home with her daddy is helping me in the transition.

Forgive me for sounding like a broken record but time really is flying by and it will only get faster.  All the more reason to appreciate each day for what it's worth-the good, the bad, and the ugly...but especially the cute-look at those cheeks!
