Lilly Rocks!

This past weekend Lilly went to her first concert.  Not only was it her first concert but it was her Daddy's band!  I was so excited to put her in her "My Dad is the Drummer" onesie for the first time.  Because we wanted to protect her little ears I had purchased noise cancelling head phones for her to wear.  I was nervous that she would hate them or that they wouldn't work but my laid back baby wore them like a champ and slept through most of the show-so they must have worked!  I definitely recommend these if you like to go to concerts or even if you will be in a place that is pretty noisy with your baby.  They were recommended on Amazon.com for hunting-not sure who would take a baby hunting but most people probably wouldn't take their baby to a concert either so I cannot judge.

Here are some pictures from the show!

Tukered out!

Woke back up in time to get on stage with Daddy!

Since Tommy also had a gig on Saturday night in Salisbury and was spending the night away- Lilly and I went to my parents house for the night to visit.  We had such a fun time.  As you saw in my daily blackberry picture posts we had an eventful weekend.  I was able to have some me time and get my hair cut and we were able to visit with Grammy and Gramps, Auntie Em and Uncle Paul, GG and Great Pop, and Robyn, and Megan.  Here are some of the pictures from our weekend that were taken with my real camera.  We had such a fun weekend.  I am pretty sure Grammy (my mom) was sad when we left on Sunday.

My little Lilly really has had an eventful life so far!  I cannot believe she will be 4 months old in one week!

In other news I am really excited to say that my husband is officially a professional musician.  He quit his part time job since he's so busy now gigging with 2 bands and giving drum lessons and he can make more money in 4 hours than one week at his part time job.  Tommy Smith Percussion has officially taken off!  It makes me a bit nervous but so far so good!  If anyone knows anyone young or old interested in drum or percussion lessons let me know! :)  I am so glad that he is finally doing what he loves (and studied so hard for).  There are a few other opportunities in the works so fingers crossed that they work out!

This weekend should be pretty low key for us.  I am looking forward to having off on Friday to get some things done around the house and get re-organized and start getting some things together for our vacation in August-I cannot wait!

Stay Tuned for an extra special blog about a dress that gets around...
