"You know you shouldnt...

...put the car seat near the window"
...have bumpers in your crib"
...let her sleep on her stomach"
...let her watch TV so young"
...give her formula"

Stop right there before you go any further...

My sister in law bought this onesie for Lilly after we had talked about the unsolicited advice people (namely people who don't really know you that well) like to give.  I think it's great!  I am sure we have all been guilty of providing unwanted advice at some point in our lives or unnecessarily judging other moms for the choices they make.  It all starts when you are pregnant and people feel like they can tell you you're huge or look at you like you are committing murder when you bite into your turkey sandwich while you are 7 months pregnant-yea I ate lunch meat and Lilly has 10 fingers and 10 toes and is doing JUST fine thank you!  Well it doesn't stop once the baby is arrives-if anything it gets worse-especially when you start to question your own instincts.  Man was that woman in Target right?  IS breast milk best-just so I know?  Most of us do the head nod polite gritting of the teeth as we hold back the urge to pummel that lady right into the diaper display.  I give a lot of credit to those moms who can come up with some witty comment to throw back.  Me-I always think of the good things to say after the fact.  *Sigh!*  Oh well.  Next time I am just going to hold Lilly up wearing this shirt because well-it really says it all!
