Kelly's Corner: Now working on year 3...

It's been two days since our wedding anniversary and we are officially working on year 3. To celebrate 2 wonderful years we were planning on going to the National Zoo as a family and then go out to dinner. On Sunday when watching the weather report we saw that there was a 100% chance of rain. Really!? 100%. Since the numbers were against us we decided to put off our trip to the zoo for another weekend. Instead we used our free day off to get some errands done. Romantic, I know, but it was fun and relaxing and we had a great day together as a family.

Fist we hit up a local farm to pick up some produce we needed for baby food making as well as for dinners for the week. We got some peaches, plums, peppers, potatoes, and lettuce! Lilly was very impressed with the LARGE carrots they had too. We are going to try carrots next-she can't wait!

Then we headed to the Verizon store so I could get a new phone! I got a sweet deal on a new blackberry. I love my blackberry and it was good for me that everyone wants Droids and i phones now so I was able to get it for almost nothing! PLUS they had it in PINK! Wahoo!

After getting my phone we went to BJ's and Wal-mart and headed home to relax. While Tommy and Lilly took a 2 hour nap I ran 2 miles-without stopping! wahoo!!!

To top off our day and to celebrate 2 years we went to Looney's pub for some drinks and yummy food. We basically had the place to ourselves and they were doing Happy Hour all day so we got 1/2 price appetizers and $2.00 beers! What a great way to end our nice little day!
