Running Updates

Well it's hard.  Harder than I thought.  My body is super out of shape and it's hard when your head thinks you can run but your body fights back.  But I am chugging along.  I don't have a set training schedule but so far I have gotten up to 3 miles walking/running and can run solidly for 2.5.  My goal is to run 4 miles before race day and if I can try 5 miles.  Here is my plan form here on out-only 17 more days from today!!

9/26-rest (ran 2.5 Saturday)
9/27-Run 2 miles (no walking)
9/28-rest
9/29-Run 3 miles
9/30-rest
10/1-3.5 miles
10/2-2 miles
10/3-rest
10/4-3 miles (no walking)
10/5-2.5 miles (no walking)
10/6-3 miles (no walking)
10/7-rest
10/8-4 miles-can't promise no walking!
10/9-rest
10/10-here is where it gets tricky-I will be traveling in Western MD-HILLS!!!!!!!!  I am hoping to do 4-5 miles before I leave
10/11-3 miles
10/12-rest
10/13-3 miles
10/14-rest
10/15-RACE DAY-5.7 miles.  I am banking on getting through the last 1.7 miles from race day adrenaline!

Seeing this laid out makes me nervous but I can do it.  Hopefully in the Spring I will be ready for another half marathon!  The good thing about signing up for a race is that I am pushing myself and I am starting to see a change.  It's a small one but I am feeling more energetic and I think I may have lost a pound or two but I refuse to weigh myself yet.  Maybe I will after the race to see my progress.
