Lillian Grace-8 Months

Lillian Grace is 8 months old and is becoming more and more like a kid and less and less like a baby every day.  It's amazing how much she has learned in the short 8 months of her little life.  She is babbling up a storm and is even saying "dadadadadada" although she isn't quite sure she knows what she is saying yet, Tommy is super proud though!  I am still working on mama!  Lilly is now able to sign "more" and I cannot be more proud-I have a video of it somewhere just need to upload it.  She can do so big and also loves patty cake-she even can do the "roll it" part.  We are working on waving now and high fiving.   She has learned how to army crawl and really gets around. Over the past few days has started to sit up from laying down and you can see her slowly starting to figure out the hands and knees crawl.

I credit these little guys for teaching her how to crawl.  As they would roll away she would go after them and as soon as she figured out she could move-she was gone!

She does this one move where it looks like she's doing a downward dog.

We have lowered the crib in anticipation of her starting to pull herself up.  I am already starting to see signs that it will be here soon.  The little bugger is in to everything!

She loves holding on to things including the leg of our sofa table.  The other day she drug it a good couple of inches before I stopped her.  We are in trouble!

Here is what Lilly is loving right now:

Elmo-she gets so excited whenever she sees him!
Outside-she's going to be the kid that never wants to come in and I love that.  Whenever we go for walks her little fit kick and she just takes it all in!

Baths- she gets upset when she has to leave her bath time Elmo behind (Thanks to cousin Evan for letting us borrow him).  We are hoping Santa gets the message and brings her one for out side of the bath-something tells me he got the memo ;)
Animals-especially dogs!
Books-a girl after my own heart.  She gets so excited when I read to her!
Drums-this girl has a cow when Tommy gets out his drums.  She threw a temper tantrum when I was putting her pj's on the other night and Tommy was playing his Djembe.  She wasn't happy until she was sitting in his lap.  She will let him play and once he stops she jumps right in with her beat.

Food-more specifically grown up food and some days we are finding it more difficult to give her her bottles because she is more interested in what we are eating!

Speaking of food-Lilly is still loving some of her purees and we tend to give her those for her breakfast and lunch 'meals'  she is getting about 2-3 oz per meal.  We are starting to give her more finger foods and she's doing great feeding herself.  She still loves her puffs and mum mums and had a blast trying some new foods for Thanksgiving dinner.  She even had her first taste of pasta and sauce the other night.  Most of it gets on the floor but she did get to eat some of it!  I think I am going to finish up the last of the purees and start moving towards giving Lilly more finger foods.

Lilly is pretty much out of most of her 9 month clothes.  She can still fit into some items but I have already had to put away a lot of of 9 month onesies and pj's.  She won't weigh in officially until her 9 month check up but she is definitely growing!  We are finishing up a pack of size 3 diapers and I just changed the Amazon subscription to start shipping the size 4's!  I am guessing she is close to 20 lbs if she isn't already.

Lilly now has her two bottom teeth although they are super hard to get a picture of!

Some fun memories from this month:

First Thanksgiving

Fun times with friends

Lilly and Amie had fun swapping paci's

 Lilly and Will

Walks on warm fall days

Lilly turned 8 months the day after Thanksgiving.  Since we were in NY we thought we would do her photo shoot there and took some beautiful pictures in my Aunt's study.

Lilly has to be the happiest baby in the world.  She is always smiling (for the most part!) and I love hearing her cute giggles!  Tommy and I cannot believe 8 months has gone by this fast.  We are looking forward to the next month as we start to prepare for the holidays.  Lilly will turn 9 months on Christmas day!   Happy 8 months Lilly Grace!
