A lovely Easter!

Easter 2012 was Lilly's first SECOND holiday.  I swear I won't do that for all holidays coming up- but we are officially working on round two now. I was super excited for Easter this year.  Last Easter Lilly was just a newborn!!

This year was super fun.  Saturday was my brother's birthday and we celebrated with him and my family and Lilly got her Easter treat from Grammy and Gramps since we wouldn't see them on Easter Sunday.

When you are 40 I will be 60 right?!  (hahaha)

On Easter, we woke up and relaxed in bed while Lilly had her morning bottle of milk and we had 'hid' some eggs for her leading downstairs to her basket.  She had fun collecting the eggs especially since they had money in them-she loved the sound they made when she shook them!  I was surprised how well she 'got' the whole concept.  With little help from us she went from egg to egg collecting them-daddy of course helped carry them for her-isn't that what daddy's are for?!

Hunting for eggs is serious business!

Lilly's Easter basket was full of lots of goodies.  I tried to fill it with snacks and non-food items that were toddler friendly but I couldn't resist a little bit of candy.  Mini- M and M's were her treat!  She loved her goodies and went through her Easter basket one item at a time.  She really checked out everything-it was so fun to watch!

Her face cracks me up in this one!
Surrounded by her loot!
She got new sandals and she took them over to the steps where she usually sits for me to get her shoes on.  She wore them all morning!

We had such a nice relaxing morning.  We ate breakfast and played outside.  Lilly loves the outdoors and it was such a beautiful morning!!!

After play time Lilly had a short nap and then we got ready to go out to brunch with the Easter bunny at Freddies.  Of course we had to have a mini photo shoot because Lilly looked so cute!

When we got to Freddies the Easter Bunny was in the parking lot and Lilly immediately got excited when she saw him.  When I let her loose she ran into his arms and I think she would have stayed there all day if we let her!  Later when he came around to our table, Lilly ran over and said "up" to the bunny-it was so cute!  We had such a fun time just watching her enjoy herself!

 Our little family!
After brunch we went to my in-laws and had another Easter egg hunt with all of the cousins.  Lilly had fun and we were all exhausted by the end of the day- it was nice to come home and relax and do nothing-we didn't even eat dinner (well Tommy and I didn't) because we were still full from brunch!

Lilly and her cousins!

What a fun day!  We hope everyone enjoyed their Easter weekend as much as we did!
