Bare Bellies and Popsicles

Days like this have me giddy.  Beautiful weather, spending time together, giggling baby, bare bellies and Popsicles on the front stoop after dinner on the grill.  I just want to bottle days like these up.  I just cannot get enough.  The mornings are for Lilly and I.  We quietly get up so not to wake daddy-Lilly says "shhhh" by sticking her finger up her nose.  Tommy's been out playing a gig and he will "sleep in" until about 9 or so.  We drink our milk and coffee on the couch and every once in a while Lilly looks over at me and grins through her milk face.  My heart melts.  This day we decide to jump in the car and head to the Ma and Pa trail for a walk. We set off to explore and Lilly points out all the birds, bunnies, squirrels and we even see a chipmunk!  We explore for 3 miles and the last mile Lilly sleeps peacefully just enjoying the ride.

We come home to a still quiet house-after all it is only 7:45am.  We have breakfast and do a little cleaning.  Lilly loves to clean.

We play a bit and I see Lilly gaze over my shoulder and smile-a big one.  Daddy is up!  Time to start the day.  There are no plans other than to spend time together.  We play outside and when Lilly goes down for her nap after lunch we garden and do some outside chores.  It's a stunning day.

A family walk and dinner on the grill later is the cherry on top.

We read some books and Popsicles are a tasty treat later. My heart swells at the little baby belly-sticky with drips.

Now THIS is how you eat a Popsicle!
The end of the day is spent taking baths and snuggling before that last surge of energy and she's out like a light.  My beautiful Lilly Grace.  Beautiful day, beautiful babe-man I am so lucky!
