Things I am loving-Summer edition

I've been trying to write this post ever since Memorial Day and  now it's mid-July and summer is ALMOST over.  REALLY where the heck did summer go!?  So better late then never here are the things I am loving, have been loving, and will continue loving this summer. 

1.  My Fancy Sneakers

I don't buy anything that's not on sale (unless it's a SUPER DUPER necessity-like diapers) or I have a coupon for it.  I won't go into how- but I scored these pups (originally $70.00) for a little over $40.  I had been lusting after them and thought they would be a perfect alternative to flip flops and would be great for chasing around an active toddler.  PLUS I've even gotten away with wearing them to work on a Friday.  They are dressy and casual all at the same time and SUPER comfy.   


2. Neutrogena Moisture Shine

It's got shine, SPF, smells yummy, has a cooling effect, and isn't a sticky mess on your lips.  I get it every summer for the beach/pool but I also wear it for every day protection.  I still keep my Burt's Bees at hand but this is a nice alternative when I want to dress up my lips a little. 

3. Philosophy Purity facial cleansing GEL

  
I've always loved Philosophy products but I could never get over the fact that the original Purity face wash never really foamed up.  Call me crazy but I like a face wash that feels like it's cleaning. Call me crazier when they came out with the foaming wash-didn't really like that either.  Well when I saw they had a gel I had to try it to see if it was any different.  You only need to use a teeny pea size and it foams! Of course it has all the benefits of Purity and removes make-up VERY well since my normal make-up removing routine is swiping my face with a baby wipe.  

4. Certain-Dri

  
Where has this product been all my life?  This sh&* really works.  I use it every 3 days and I have been sweat free since 93! (any HIMYM fans out there?)  I still use regular deodorant every morning-mainly out of habit and because it smells good (it's my 'purfume' as of late) but I apply this before bed and even in this heat wave we've been having I am dry as a bone.  And let me tell you-I sweat.  Even more so after I had Lilly.  It is gross.  Oh another awesome thing...it's less than $5.00.  Less than those 'clinical' deodorants that DO NOT work.  You're welcome. 

5.  Anything Lavender

  
Maybe it's because a lot of Lilly's soaps and lotions are scented lavender and I am just getting used to it but I am loving the scent.  There is something about it I cannot get enough of.  It's not sweet or spicy it's just clean and refreshing.  I am getting everything I can lavender scented-including my car air freshener!

So there you have it.  What I am loving this summer.  Hope you all enjoy the rest of the summer.  While I do enjoy the summer and I don't want to wish it away- I am already starting to long for the crispness of Fall and all things pumpkin!!!
