This week was my first appointment. I am not sure why but I was very nervous about this one. Partially because it was a brand new doctor. I was scared that I wouldn't like the doctor or that she would be ok but nothing like Dr. Hajj.
Luckily the first part of the appointment was the sonogram so it took focus away from doctor nerves and I just wanted to see the little heartbeat! Please let all be ok! As soon as she put the wand on my tummy I saw it. That little flicker of a flutter and we even had the beginings of some arms and legs. I was measuring exactly 9 weeks so that puts my due date at May 15th. My little munchink's heart rate was 170 bpm. It just made it more real.
Afterward I had my exam and meeting with Dr. Merryman and loved her. So did Tommy and I was more than relieved. She is differant from Dr. Hajj but not negatively, not better, just differant. She's laid back but provided me with just enough information so I know what was going on. I feel like I know a good deal more walking away after the first visit than with Lilly. We discussed possible birth plans and more than likely after speaking with her I will have another c-section. I think that's going to be best in the long run for me and my baby. BUT nothing is 100% decided yet so we shall see.
