Yes you are counting correctly-that's exactly 3 months until 2. I cannot believe it especially since just 2 months after that baby BOY (I still am not used to saying that) will be arriving. Lilly is so excited about having a brother and now when I ask her who is in mommy's tummy she says: "My Brover!". Adorable!
I cannot say enough how much this kid amazes me. She's talking up a storm including full sentences. She knows her ABC's and can count to 10. She knows full songs by heart and my heart swells when I see her sitting in her chair rocking her baby doll singing "Rock a bye baby".
She is now in a toddler bed and she's pretty much done with the high chair and loves to sit with us at the table in her booster seat. She calls it her big girl seat!
She definitely has hit the terrible two's because while she is so sweet she also has a devilish side. It's so hard getting mad when she hits me because she immediately says "I'm sorry mommy" and kisses and hugs me. She does it the most when we aren't giving her attention. Most of the time she's a sweetie. She says "excuse me mommy" and "please" and "thank you" and she is so loving. While she's said "I love you" for a while now it's always been prompted or repeated but Christmas Eve while we were picking up some things at Walmart I was browsing some toys and I heard her say across the aisle-"I love you mommy!". It was the best-hopefully she just wasn't saying it so we get her another toy!
This month Lilly had her first stomach bug. It was 8 hours of pure h.e double hockey sticks. Poor thing. She made a great recovery and once she slept and started drinking and eating again she was back to herself.
The end of November/beginning of December was full of fun holiday activities including getting our Christmas tree, seeing Christmas lights-including a fist visit to 34th street hon, decorating, and visiting Santa. Lilly brought home her first homemade holiday decorations that will probably be displayed until she's at least 30!
We don't have official height and weight stats since Lilly doesn't go back for a check up until 2 years and (knock on wood) she hasn't had to go for a visit. Lilly is though in size 5 diapers and is wearing 24 months/2T clothing.
My girl is getting so big! There are times I look at her and she really looks like a kid. She's growing so fast. I am so excited she is going to be a big sister soon-she is going to be the best.
Mommy and Daddy love you even more than the day you were born if that's even possible! You are such a dynamic, fun, and loving girl. Don't ever change. We love you! Happy 21 months!
