I always end up making way too many Christmas treats but I just cannot help myself. This year I think I am making my standards. I try to wait as long as I can to make them so we don't end up with stale cookies.
To stay organized I've gathered all my recipes and have made a potential schedule of when I am making the cookies. I have it spread out over three days and I've prioritized as to which cookies last the longest-making those first. I've made a shopping list for any ingredients I need. This, my friends, is my cookie list:
Peanut Butter Balls (dark and milk chocolates)
Peanut Butter Blossoms
Kiss Macaroons (like the pb blossoms just macaroons instead of pb cookies)
Chewy M&M cookies (red and green M&M's of course)
Chocolate Chip Cookies (a staple)
Almond Crescents
So see-just a few batches this year. I added the M and M cookies at the last minute since I had a coupon for a bag of holiday M and M's. Plus they are soooo good!
I am all set for baking! I plan to start this weekend and then getting the rest done on my day off next week (I took off the day after the Dave Matthews concert-wahoo!)
What's better than baking and dancing around the kitchen to Christmas music!?!
