This time around I actually am feeling a bit more pregnant than I did with Lilly. I am tired, my feet hurt, and at the end of the day I just need to sit and I am back to barely keeping my eyes open when I lay on the couch! With Lilly I felt like I was always on the go after the first trimester-nothing stopped me! Maybe it's age, maybe it's that I started out heavier with this one or maybe it's just all in my head.
Baby Boy Smith is now the size of a Papaya! I had a check up this week and all looks just fine! I've gained a total so far of 8 pounds. Considering I had gained almost 20 by now with Lilly I am happy with that! I had to have a follow up ultra sound to measure his heart since he didn't cooperate last time. All was well and just to be sure, she checked on his boy parts for me confirming we are DEFINITELY having a boy. I even got a peak myself. I did make a mental note NOT to wear a dress to my next OB appointment. Not fun feeling all out there during the ultrasound and my check up.
I have officially registered at PBK and BRU. We don't need much other than a new monitor, and of course clothes, and a few other small items I put on the list because I want them (like a new Chevron crib sheet!). I plan on using the 10% completion discount. I even tossed some birthday items on there for Lilly (like her big girl bedding). I will probably add a few more items as we go along but for the most part we are set. We have most everything we need for this little guy already. It feels nice. There are a few "to do" items on our checklist to prepare in the next 4 months which involve mostly Lilly's new room. I am also hoping to plan some freezer meals this time around. We didn't do it with Lilly but cooking with 2 kids is going to be a challenge at first I am sure so I want to be prepared.
By my next appointment in February we will have a time for the c-section (on May 8th) and I will take my Glucose test.
So crazy how far away, yet also how close that day seems. For now, I am focusing on Miss Lilly who will be turning 2 at the end of March! Starting to get ideas for that now. Tommy and I are also planning a little get away before the baby arrives for just us two-since I am SURE after baby boys arrival we will be doing even less of that then we do now!
Here is the bump at week 21...
And 22 weeks...
Here is the little guy at 18 weeks. He's so cute already! I cannot wait to meet him.
