Happy Full Term baby boy! This week I think we are closer to having at least 2-3 names for you. We will still decide what it will be for sure when you arrive but I feel good about some of the choices we have. Big sister has even weighed in letting us know if she likes or doesn't like a name!
Baby is now the size of a winter melon...feels more like an even larger watermelon but oh well. According to the size chart baby can be anywhere from 6-9 lbs. 9 lbs!?
This week I have been feeling more contractions and sometimes they have been pretty intense. When I over do it I tend to feel them more. I have been having some more aversions to foods like I was during the first tri and will even get nauseous if I am thirsty or hungry. The good news is I have some energy and I am for sure in that nesting stage!
I've done a few items on my baby to do list and I think I want to share just for the sheer purpose of making myself see that I've actually done stuff because the irrational side of me still proclaims I have done NOTHING. I was so antsy last Friday after work thinking of all the things I needed to do I could barely sit still and enjoy my dinner and company. I was feeling beat so I wasn't planning on getting anything done that night but I did manage to get it all out into a list to settle my mind. Here is what we accomplished this past weekend:
1. Cleaned out the guest room closet and transferred all of Lilly's stuff into it.
2. We picked a color and bought paint for Lilly's new room AND it's painted! Wahoo!
3. Washed little guys clothes and organized the closet in the nursery with all of his stuff
4. Packed some of my hospital bag as well as a bag for the little guy with a few items
5. Completed HR documents and started the process to add little guy to my insurance
6. Got my hair cut and made an appointment for a highlight touch up, eyebrow wax, and small trim for the day before my scheduled c-sec.
7. Cleaned the house a bit-still need to do some stuff upstairs
8. Hit up target and BRU for some needed items-I love when they have the buy this a get a $$ gift card!! Stocked up on some diapers and scored $20! I also stocked up on nursing pads, some pump parts, bottle inserts, hangers, and other smaller items.
Best of all I got a pedicure!!!! It was bliss!!
We did also get a few things out of storage so I could determine what more we may need. I went on a 'tossing' kick and we even sent a good amount of items to Goodwill-that felt good!
There isn't too much left thank goodness! I am happy to say if he decided to come today we wouldn't be totally freaking out that there is so much more to do! We do need to set up and clean the pack n play and install the car seat. We also need another base for Tommy's car. One thing I forgot to add to that list was to pack a bag for Lilly! I am sure my mom could grab her stuff in a pinch but it will be easier to have it all ready to go! Mommy, Daddy, and big sis are (almost) ready little boy!
This week at my check up I got an internal and still closed up tight. All is well and I am sure that he will wait it out until the 8th of May.
And last here is a 37 week bump shot from our hike in the Gunpowder. I am running out of shirts that cover the bump! I swear it's more of a torpedo than a bump!
It's crazy to think that this could potentially be my last post...hoping to have just one more (38 weeks) since he's scheduled to be born at 39. Wow is this really the end...that went by fast!
I'm so excited for you!! May 8th will be here so soon! And good call on packing a bag for Lilly - I totally forgot about that! Adding it to my list :)
