Happy 20 months Thomas Everett! This is the year you will turn 2-in just 4 short months. Holy cow. I feel like Lilly was just 2 (and she's going to be 4!!). You are growing up quickly. I feel like I say this every month and every day. (You all are probably sick of hearing me open these posts with the same cliché...but man it's true!) I feel like you are getting to that big kid stage much faster than your sister and I think it's because of her! You just seem to follow her lead and want to do everything she does! You are my funny little man and boy do you keep daddy and I busy!
This past month was definitely busy and full of holiday fun! You definitely got into it this year. You loved the Christmas tree and spent some time every evening un-decorating and decorating the tree! MOST of our ornaments ended up at the top of the tree. You had a blast finding our elf each morning and there were even some mornings you found him before Lilly!
You got to meet Santa twice! You had breakfast with him at your school and he even came to our house! It took you a bit to warm up to him but when you did you didn't want to let him go! I love that you learned to say: "Ho! Ho! Ho!" any time you saw the man in red!
We celebrated cousin Kelly's birthday this month and you had a BLAST at her party at the athletic club. You had so much fun swimming and jumping in to daddy!

You were in your first Christmas play at school and you were doing so great until you saw us...and then you cried. Poor little man! Mommy and Daddy were still so proud!
Christmas was definitely a blast! You loved digging into your gifts and you had so much fun playing with them. What a difference from last year! You were just 7 months old.
You also celebrated 2015! You didn't make it to midnight (maybe next year) but you did have fun on NYE and NYD. You even ate some pickled herring for good luck!
Your talking has really taken off and you are saying 2 and 3 words together now! My favorite word that you learned this month was candy cane. You certainly know how to ask for those! Another new word you learned was spicy. It's too funny!
You definitely love helping around the house unloading the dishwasher, sweeping the floors, putting away toys and you even hang up your own coat (with mommy's help). Definitely a mommy's helper! You even sometimes help put away your sisters things. We are working on getting her to help a little more.
You have really started getting into coloring-Good thing Santa brought you your own art supplies! Sometimes you get a little carried away!
You still love eating-little piggy! Your favorites are dino nuggets, sesame chicken, broccoli, peas with Parmesan cheese, and ham and cheese roll ups-oh and you loved eating mommy's Christmas cookies and ice cream!
Being outside is still one of your favorite things although we don't get out too much anymore because of the weather. We try every nice and somewhat warm day we get!
If we can't get outside we try to go to the mall or the grocery store so we can to get some energy out. You love pushing your own shopping cart now! You do a great job too-although it's best for us to get there early so there aren't so many people. You like to crash into other customers carts! Sometimes you are too quick for mommy and I have to apologize- you think it's a fun game.
You had a fun play date with your friend Emma and you also had a blast when we went to Jump on it. You went right in the bounce houses with the big kids! You also had a blast with the air t-ball. I think we may have a future ball player on our hands!
I was amazed at your t-ball skills look how serious you were!
At your 18 months check up (or 19 months-oops) you weighed 24 pounds, you were 31 inches. You are in the 25th percentile about for both-far cry from Lilly who was always in the 75th percentile. You are wearing 18-24 month clothing-some 18 month tee shirts are getting too small! Your feet have grown and you are now wearing a 6 wide!
Finally you started sleeping in over Christmas break. It may have been the excitement or the fact that you got to stay up a bit later but for a solid week you slept until 7am! A far cry from 5:30am. Thank you!
We have started noticing that you are getting into the terrible two phase. Most of it is mainly communication which we are trying to solve by helping you show us what you need. The time when you are beyond us trying to help (full out tantrum mode) we are doing our best to ignore you and let you get it out. As far as some bad behavior-like hitting or tormenting your sister- we have started doing small time outs because you like to be a little rough with your sister at times. You actually now put yourself in time out before we can even say anything to you-it's like you know you are testing us already smart boy. It's actually pretty cute (shhhh I didn't say that!) You don't stay long and we don't force it-but I think you have definitely learned from it.
You are still, for the most part, a mamma's boy (don't tell Daddy but I kind of like it!)
This past week it snowed! We had a fun snow day and at first you weren't sure what to make of it all but you had a blast. You especially loved watching the snow plow clear our street.
