Now, we're not really into going all out on Valentine's day but today ended up being a great day to have a small celebration. We had our 35/36 week doctors appointment and our final sonogram. It was so cool to see how big our baby is getting and to realize that the next time we see the little one, he/she will be in our arms! The coolest part is that we got to see our babies full head of hair, sticking straight up. Our baby has a mow-hawk! I haven't had a chance to scan the pictures just yet but I will certainly post them as soon as I can so you can see the hair.
Everything seems to be progressing well. The baby is estimated to be around 6.4 lbs give or take a 1/2 lb and the sonogram technician was estimating the baby will be 7-8 lbs at birth. Perfect! The baby is healthy and is very active. His/her hairy head is down so Clarence is getting ready to make his/her appearance. I start my weekly appointments from now on and next week I will know how close I really am getting.
Our appointment was on my lunch break and Tommy had today off so he was able to come. I went back to work and he went home to work on re-painting the babies room. When I got home dinner was made and we exchanged cards. I went sappy and Tommy went funny...it was perfect. We also checked out (again) our cute little baby pictures we were able to bring home.
After dinner we took a few more bump pictures. I haven't yet taken any bare belly pictures and I thought since we're down to the last 4 weeks I would start to take them along with my weekly bump pictures. I also never thought that if I took bare belly pictures that I would ever post them publicly, but I have to say my husband took very nice pictures (thanks in part to our awesome camera and my editing). Who needs to hire a professional maternity photographer-I thought these turned out cute!
Happy day after Valentine's Day!
This one is a bit corny but picnik had these cute 'stickers' to add and I thought-what the heck-it's Valentine's Day! Clarence loves you!
The belly button isn't an outtie yet!! It's getting there though. I am hoping it doesn't pop!
Happy <3 Day! Love, Kelly, Tommy, and Clarence!
