I've been bitten by the nesting bug!

I am apologizing in advance for all baby all the time blog posts...but we're down to 3 weeks and I am nesting like crazy.  Before it was cooking and baking but now that we've had our shower I have turned to the nursery!  Originally we were not really planning any sort of nursery decor...we were just going to wing it...but now.  I am hooked and all about 'planning' the nursery.  May be a little late in the game but I am sure glad we waited because it's going to look beautiful!

I am going to blame my mom for starting with the Peter Rabbit Pottery Barn Kids nursery decor (sorry mom!).  At first I didn't really care one way or the other what bedding we had but once I saw it in person I almost peed (maybe I did a little-hey I am over 8 months pregnant).  It's beautifully simple and classic and not too busy...perfect and not overly boy or girl!  It's so soft and well I love it!

My two beautiful cousins also gave Clarence adorable and super soft Classic Pooh and Piglet stuffed animals...hmm classic Peter Rabbit, Classic Pooh, Classic Taupe..sensing a theme here...poof...my brain began churning and now I am just going crazy.
So sitting on the couch while my hubby was at work tonight I began thinking...and remembered a great website that I was addicted to when planning our wedding..ETSY.  Uh oh...anyone who knows about Etsy knows how easy it is to get sucked into the farthest depths of this site.  Not only do they have great unique and home made creations but by purchasing from here you are supporting artists and not the big name companies (like PBK's..oops) so technically this means I am doing a good deed by ordering something.  Great way to justify shopping right!?  So going with the classic theme and remembering a favorite book from my childhood (I LOVE books and I am so glad Clarence got tons at our shower!) I began my search by plugging in Velveteen Rabbit and discovered this gem:
Again, I think I peed my pants.  It's such a wonderful story and I just had to have this...and total cost including shipping was $25.00...so Gram...you purchased this for my birthday!  Thank you!  :)

But the madness didn't stop there...I moved from Etsy to Amazon to search for the actual books and bought The Velveteen Rabbit and The Tale of Peter Rabbit both in hardcover so they can displayed in the nursery.

So really that was my extent of my shopping for tonight...not too bad I have to say.  The room is small so I don't want to do too much.  I am planning to get a few wooden shelves to hang and Tommy's sister gave us two wall decal sayings which I LOVE and will hang up too.  Once the baby is born I am heading to Michael's to get letters for the baby's name sort of like this:
So that's my inspiration...of course I will post a blog once it's all complete!  This is all going to look stunning with our new Espresso furniture.  And now I just downloaded the Velveteen Rabbit (it's free!!) on my kindle to read to Clarence before I fall asleep.....
