Last night my husbands band
Dropping Sully played a gig at
The Second Chance Saloon in Columbia, MD. It was a great opportunity for me to get in some camera practice and support my hubby (who rocked by the way!). Of course I didn't make it for the entire show (pregnant ladies need their rest!) but what I did see was great and I got to enjoy a great little bar with a super nice owner who made sure I was comfortable and the food wasn't too bad either! The name of the Saloon actually had some meaning last night as I got a Second Chance at keeping my Blackberry. Apparently in my concern to make sure I had all of my camera things, I dropped my phone outside of my car. When I realized it was missing a few hours later we called it thinking I left it on my car somewhere when...a stranger answered my phone! Luckily I had my best friend Robyn with me who helped in operation rescue Kelly's lifeline (aka
crackberry blackberry). The man who discovered my phone decided to take it with him and refused to come back to the scene of the crime and wanted us to meet him at his location. We were stumped and kind of weirded out since he mentioned he was at work but his excuse as to why he couldn't leave where he was was that he'd been drinking. Odd. Tommy had just started his next set and couldn't leave...so to the rescue came the Howard County police...equipped with very large flashlights. They showed up at the location (some weird business park that looks like every other business park in Columbia) and while I think we scared the guy with our entourage of hot police officers we rescued my blackberry! Maybe calling the cops was a bit dramatic but they assured us we did the right thing because "you never know". Two girls at 11pm meeting a stranger wasn't the smartest thing to do alone anyway. So armed with my blackberry again I safely made it home to Harford county where everything doesn't look the same.
So enough about my adventures. Here are some of my favorite pictures from last night. I have to say, I think some of the details shots are the best...it was hard to get many shots of the band together because of the set up in the bar...or perhaps I need a different lens...but without further ado I give you: Dropping Sully-live-at Second Chance Saloon:
This is the sexy drummer face!
And some of my favorites...the detail shots!
I had to take a picture of the countdown to Clarence's due date Saint Patrick's day!
