How in the world is my baby 3 months!

Happy 3 month Birthday Lillian Grace!  Man when people say "wait til you have kids" in response to your "time flies" comment- it's really true!  I feel like even though I have spent the last 3 months with Lilly pretty much 24/7 she's grown up so quickly-she's not a newborn anymore!

This month Lilly has really begun to come into her personality.  She's such a happy baby and always seems to be smiling!  She laughed out loud for the first time and has really found her voice!  She will talk to her toys and really gets going some days!  The only times she gets cranky are when she's hungry or tired.  You can differentiate the two because when she is tired she will rub her hair.  She fights sleep-which is pretty funny thinking about it but can be frustrating when you are with her.  She will be all relaxed and snugly and they just freak out.  You move positions get her comfy again and then she straightens her legs and gets stiff.  After a while she gives in and will be out like a light.  An atomic bomb will go off and it's not waking her up.

I caught her on video (after many attempts) chatting up a storm.

Lilly has been loving her play time more and more.  Her favorite toys are her keys, her bouncy seat and now her jumperoo.  Lilly loves to stand.  If you stand her up her eyes get wide and she waves her arms back and forth so we thought that the jumperoo would be great.  I set it up this weekend and put her in and laughed.  She did really well in it although I think she's still too light because her feet just dangle in the air!  It was so funny.  She did love the toys and figured out that when she kicked her legs she bounces!

She's holding her head up VERY well now although when she does tummy time she still hasn't figured out she can rest on her elbows-she keeps her head up and lefts her legs up at the same time and grunts-it's pretty funny actually.  She does better when she's supported by the boppy.  I've also noticed that while she's in her bouncy seat she tries to sit up!  She's been practicing sitting up in her Bumbo seat!

Lilly is definitely a growing girl.  We weighed her on Tommy's parents baby scale this week and she weighed 13lbs 4 oz!  She has also grown a little too-she's slightly over 24 inches.
She has fully grown out of 3 month clothing and is now in 3-6 month and 6 month clothing which mostly fits her perfect!  She's even fitting into some of her 6-9 and 9 month clothes-for some reason the Carters clothes seem to be cut a bit smaller than the other brands so I think that's why.  She's long so while she doesn't always fill them out width wise, length wise she definitely does.  I feel like she just started fitting into 6 months!  There are a few 6 month outfits though that are slightly big on her though-it's so funny how certain styles or brands are just cut differently.  Do they have vanity sizing for babies too!?

She is currently in size 2 diapers but I may try some 3's soon because the 2's are fitting a bit too perfect which means that um oh maybe tomorrow they will be too small.  She loves to eat and has moved over to formula with one breast milk bottle a day (which will soon run out).  She drinks 4 oz except when she first wakes up and before she goes to bed she gets 5 oz since she's sleeping through the night-8-9 hours!  She goes to bed at 9 and will wake up anywhere between 5 and 6.   This has been a wonderful blessing and we're told that it's not normal and that we should be thanking out lucky stars.  I think a lot of it has to do with the formula-since it's thicker than breast milk it keeps her full longer so she's able to last through the night.  I would definitely recommend you sleep deprived moms to try giving at least one formula bottle before bedtime to see if that helps them sleep longer (that is if you don't mind giving formula-I know some moms want to exclusively breast feed)

This month Lilly had her pictures taken at Sears.  She did so well-although I wasn't too happy with the pictures.  The picture we bought was pretty much the only good one.  Not that she didn't look cute in them all but whoever took them was bad-they were blurry or off center-just not that great.  Luckily I barely paid anything for them since I had a coupon.

Here are a few shots from our photo shoot at home-which I think are much better-what do you think?  These ones are my favorites:
