Picture this in 18 years...
We are so excited because Naomi is moving to Cecil County which means we will all be within 30ish minutes of each other so we will hopefully be able to get together more! It was so nice to catch up with these ladies-can't wait for the next time!
I have some blogs in the works although I can bet my blogging will slow down since next week I become a working mom...it's going to be an adjustment especially getting into a schedule. I am going to need to be even more organized and I am working on doing that as well this week. My closet has been organized into clothes that fit and clothes that need to fit in a month or two, I've made lists and reminders for Tommy, stuff for lunches has been bought, and I've organized bills and my to do list since the busier I get the more forgetful I will get!
We also painted the kitchen and it feels so much better! I wanted to re-do the whole thing but now that it's painted it will hold me over until we can afford to re do the floor and cabinets and back splash. Here are a few before and after photos. I feel like I have a new kitchen! It's amazing what a little fresh paint can do.
Before:
Painted, crown molding, new knobs on the doors, re-caulked (which made the floor look a lot less dirty!)
After:
What we plan to do:
Re-finish the cabinets
Tile the floor
add cabinet hardware
decorate a bit more
new curtains
new back splash (white subway tile)
We have also hit the ground running with getting Tommy started with his private lessons. Resume is updated and we are working on searching for music related jobs and researching info on doing private lessons...so who wants to be the first customer??!! If you are interested in drum lessons for you or a loved one Tommy has taught students ages 3-50!!! He's pretty awesome too-Lilly has already started-she will be a You Tube sensation soon! ;)
Speaking of Lilly (as if I don't do that already) she really is good at winning contests-maybe we should have her play the mega millions. Remember the contest Jewell was having last week to win a free 8X10 picture framed in one of her awesome Organic Bloom frames-well she won!!! Yeah! We cannot wait until the picture and frame come in. They really are beautiful frames and we went with one of the family pictures to hang in our living room. Jewell definitely has customers for life!
Well in a nutshell that's what has been going on in our lives for the past few weeks. A few more blogs are in the works so stay tuned! Some of them just may star this beauty-
