Ocean City is being evacuated and now the entire state of MD is under a state of emergency. This must be pretty serious. I am usually skeptical when theses things happen thinking that weathermen are usually wrong and we sometimes make HUGE deals out of nothing- but I made sure to stop at the store on my lunch break so we have some items for dinner for the next few nights as well as fruits and veggies for baby food making. If I am going to be stuck inside might as well make use of my time. Our poor house may actually get cleaned this weekend too. Luckily we buy toilet paper at BJ's and it usually lasts us a year so we're stocked up on that. I am not panicking and buying cases of waters or batteries-I think we will be ok and if I am floating down my street thirsty in the dark you can say "I told you so" then.
I am actually kind of excited in an odd way. There is something peaceful about being tucked away inside our house with my little family spending all day in our pj's watching movies without feeling guilty about missing a beautiful day. Hopefully all will be well and hopefully our roof stays put and no flooding or leaking occurs. I am ready for an excuse not to go out our door and stay snuggled in bed listening to the rain and wind. I am sure it won't be all that glamorous but a girl can day dream.
