A new and 'stolen' tradition...

This holiday season will be full of lots of firsts for us.  We have a renewed holiday spirit because this year we are seeing it all through the eyes of our little girl.  One thing I love to do around this time is drive around looking at the Christmas and Holiday lights.  I realized that while we can sill do this, Lilly really won't be able to participate because she has limited sight in the back seat, confined in her car seat.  I know Lilly would love the lights and I didn't want her to miss out on this tradition.

As I am sure many of my readers do as well, I follow Kelle Hampton's blog, Enjoying the Small Things and I have to admit I have blog envy.  Man can this girl write, AND she takes awesome pictures, AND hosts bombing parties, AND she can rock the red lips, AND she dresses very cool.  I am turning green just thinking about her.  But I do love reading her blog each and every day and one blog in particular seemed to solve my 'problem' of Lilly not being able to see the lights from the car.  Kelle took her family on a walk to see the Christmas lights around their neighborhood.  Genius!  As I drove home from work the other night I realized that in our 'hood'  there are a lot of houses with wonderful decorations and that this would be the perfect tradition to start this year with Lilly and would even be fun to continue as she gets older!

Friday night after we ate pizza, which by the way, Lilly loved, we bundled up, put Lilly in the stroller, and walked around the neighborhood to check out the lights.

She had a blast and it was a wonderful night to take a stroll.  Already looking forward to doing it again!

Only 15 more days!!!
