2011 was a weird year. In some ways it was the best year of our lives, but we also had some struggles which made it not so good. I think it is the year that we learned the most. Even though we have a ways to go, Tommy and I made it through some rough moments and the silver lining is that it made us stronger. As much as I hate the saying "things happen for a reason"-it's just something that people tell you when they really don't know what to say-and I have to admit I've said it at times, 2011 really showed us that this is true. Sometimes God doesn't always answer our prayers in the ways we think he should-isn't that what the saying really means? I have high hopes for 2012. We have a plan and while we aren't totally out of the deep end yet, we are at least keeping our nose above water. Among the ups and downs in 2011 one of the best moments in our lives happened-we became parents. While her birth day was one of the happiest of our lives, watching her grow every day and seeing that little face light up is something that will last way past 2011. I cannot wait! All in all when I look back on this year I don't think about the struggles, I think about the cutest little girl ever and that makes 2011 one of the best! Here are some of my favorite moments of 2011...
