1st birthday projects: UPDATE

I haven't been as productive on the 1st birthday projects and I originally planned.  Life has been getting in the way!  I have completed a few very important items though and I am very proud of them:  The invitations and the balloon wreath-a Pinterest project!  I still have 3 major projects in the works other than all of the baking, cleaning, shopping and food prep but that stuff will get done as we get closer to the big day!

Since the invitations have already gone out I can now share them with the masses!  I made them on MixBook and I am in love with them and the web site.  The invites are high quality and very customizable.

It was fate that a few days before the invitations came in the mail that I got an e-mail promotion from Shutterfly for FREE address labels.  I immediately logged in and ordered them and paid just $2.00 for shipping.  They are adorable and really made the invites (I think).  I didn't even have these for my wedding.  But anything for my girl!

My next project took a while-the Pinterest balloon wreath. It took me going to 3 craft stores and Wal Mart and Party City (twice) to get all of the supplies.  How does she... the blog the balloon wreath was pinned from, said to use 2 packs of balloons but either I used a larger wreath or I just made it fuller.  Well I finally finished a few weeks ago and I am SOOOOOO happy with it.  I get giddy just looking at it!

I haven't decided for sure where I am going to hang it for the party but I cannot wait for it to make it's party debut!  The best part is this wreath can make it's appearance for all family birthdays for years to come!

Only 3 more weekends until the big day!  I am hoping the bunting and picture banner will be done by next weekend and then I can work on the shopping list and cleaning.  My husbands project (the basement) is coming along nicely.  It's crunch time!!
