Busy Busy!

Only ONE more weekend stands between us and a first birthday party on the 24th of this month.  I have lots of things to do other than blog but I wanted to do a quick post and then get right back to business.  More than likely I won't be posting anything until after Lilly's party and birthday itself which is the next day.  I cannot tell you how excited I am.  I told my husband that I may be more excited for this party than I was for our wedding (GASP-did that even come out of my mouth?!).  I have had so much fun thinking about it and planning it and we are getting down to the wire!  Quick rewind- I have some non-Lilly and non-birthday related blogs in the works I just haven't had the time to write them-although they have been written in my head for a while now.  I promise they will be posted in the next coming weeks.  There are some changes coming to the Smith household so stay tuned!  *Insert here random cute photo of Lilly-just because:

We are in full swing now getting the house ready for the 24th.  To make it more manageable I have been tackling one room at a time.  After work and after the kiddo goes to bed I've been working on organizing and cleaning the house-what I can do ahead of time that is.  Obviously the kitchen and living room will be done at the last minute.  The BIG project that we are hoping may be done by then is the basement bathroom.  The basement is still a disaster zone but it's one of those things that I just cannot worry about.  It was scheduled to be done but as always life gets in the way and we've had some recent turn of events that have delayed the process (good things of course!).  The good news is that some of my decoration projects are complete!  I just ordered the first year picture book/guest book as well as some prints to display at the party and two of my buntings are done. So on ward march!  I am making lots of lists and checking them more than twice.  The RSVP's are coming in which is great because it's giving me a better idea where we need to be on the food situation.  I will try to post some more updates as the party comes together and of course there will be a complete birthday extravaganza blog post(s) following.  Are you excited??!!  hahaha!  I am also really excited to about Lilly's actual birthday which is the day after the party.  I have planned that we will do gifts from us (since I am sure Saturday she won't be short any birthday love) and then brunch or lunch and then we will take Lilly to Toys R Us and let her pick out a toy.  Looking forward to starting another tradition with her.  She is at such a great age and she gets excited about EVERYTHING!  Pretty sure she knows March is all about her!
