Lilly's Elmo Birthday Party!

Lilly's first birthday party was a success!  Again, thank you to everyone who brought something, helped out, and came to celebrate 1 year!  A BIG thanks to Angela who helped with the cupcakes, my parents who loaned us 'stuff' and made the chicken and ham, my in laws who took Lilly for the morning so we could finish last minute tasks and made some side dishes and Katie who brought awesome chocolate covered strawberries.  I feel like I should be on stage with an award in my hand.  Haha!  I have been busy for the past few months planning this party but the hard work started on Thursday.  I was so glad I took off Thursday and Friday because I got so much done AND was able to spend some quality time with my Lilly.  Saturday morning rolled around and after all this beautiful weather we were having and we get rain!  Oh well-it was still a glorious day!  Ok enough rambling and on with the pictures from the party!

Our theme was Elmo (in case you didn't know).  Lilly wore a Sesame Street outfit from Zulily.  We had an outfit made but she kept untying the ribbon so instead of fighting her all day we went with the back up out fit for comfort.  I am hoping to take her for some pictures in her other outfit because it's so cute!

As soon as she woke up from her nap and got dressed some guests already arrived and she immediately made a bee line for the gift pile.  We let her open a few.

What a great day!  Lilly was exhausted after and slept in til 7 the next morning.  On Sunday we enjoyed a relaxing day and took Lilly out for a special treat for her actual birthday-separate post to come!  I cannot believe I have a one year old!
