Baby #2: 17 weeks

Will I ever catch up?  The answer is no.  So here I am 17 weeks and a few days giving you my update.  Not too shabby if I say so myself.

This week has been epic.  And not epic in an awesome way.  Epic in a way that makes me want to wish it never happened-I want my days back!  In the scheme of things though we are healthy (now) and have more than we could ever ask for and that's more than a lot of people in this world can say so we are grateful-  Even for days of illness and 5 hour ER trips.

I am feeling a bit better these days although I still feel just worn out.  You know how they say the second day after the hangover is generally when the fatigue hits you?  Well it's the same really.  I am back to work but I am feeling the lack of sleep, fluids, and food catching up to me.  My appetite is still making it's way back.  Still not able to really scarf anything down and nothing really seems THAT good to me right now.  But I am holding it down and can function so that's a plus.

We had our 17 week check up and growth ultra sound Wednesday and all was well with Baby #2.  I was so excited because we got out super secret envelope with the gender results!  I cannot wait til Christmas morning to find out what we are having.

I think baby really wanted to reassure me that all was well because I began feeling more distinct kicks and movements this week.  According to The Bump the baby is the size of an onion.  I cannot believe he or she is almost half baked already.  Man how time flies.

I only have gained 1/2 lb this month so that's good.  I am doing my best to keep the gain to just baby so I don't have to completely start from square one once the baby comes.

We also got our EDD-Estimated Delivery Date!  Since I have having a repeat C-section the baby will be born on May 8, 2013.  It's an estimate mainly because the baby could come before than but more than likely not based on Lilly being over a week late!

Overall I am feeling well and gearing up for the holidays.  It's our last Christmas as a family of 3!  Next year there will be 4 of us.  So crazy and so exciting.

Here's my 17 week bump!
