Christmas re-cap (aka photo overload)

Christmas this year was AWESOME.  Lilly actually understood the Santa concept.  Every gift when you ask who it's from she replies "Santa!" (even though it may not be!).  My first indication she 'got it' was when we opened a gift on Christmas Eve from a family member and she looked at me and questioned:  "Santa?".  I about died!  It was so fun seeing her face light up as she saw on Christmas morning that Santa came, ate cookies, and left her some great gifts!

I want to rewind first to Christmas Eve.  We stayed home this year since we decided to do both sets of parents on Christmas Day.  We wanted to come up with something really cool to do to start a tradition but we just decided to wing it.  We actually did some shopping (browsed for TV's and bought a new Wii adapter), played Wii, watched movies and ate popcorn, and Tommy and I had a wonderful dinner of steamed shrimp and steaks once Lilly went to bed.  We also played Santa and watched a movie together.  It turned out to be a great day-we even had SNOW!
She didn't quite catch on to the whole Wii deal
Not crazy about the tutu...although she seemed to love it every other night!

On Christmas morning Tommy and I woke up early to get showers and get ready so we could leave right after opening gifts to head over my parents house.  When Lilly woke up we brought her stocking up to keep her busy for a bit.  When it was time for the big reveal Lilly dove right in.  She explored all of her unopened gifts so it took a bit of prodding to get her to start opening.  She had a blast!  We also opened our super secret gender reveal gift!  It was so much fun!

We then packed up and headed over to my parents...where of course we told them the news and there were more presents, food, and lots of love!

Stand next to the tree...or in it-whatever!

After brunch we packed up again and headed over to Tommy's family for more gifts, more food, and of course more love (and the big reveal!)

We broke the spell...no 6th granddaughter for the Smiths!

Our Christmas was wonderful in more ways than one!  We are so blessed and thankful for everyone in our lives-especially our little growing family!

  2. Toys R Us! They were the HOT ticket item and I ended up getting it in September. You can get them on Amazon but they are almost double the price. Try scouting out TRU on line I know they recently came back in stock there. My TRU got a shipment right before Christmas but when I went back on Christmas eve to get another one they were gone! Good Luck!
