Normally I take a personal day on my birthday. This year I decided not to since soon I will be gone for 12 weeks! Well thanks to Lilly I got to stay home today. But it hasn't been fun. Lilly had to go back to the doctors yesterday since she wasn't getting any better (Friday she had an ear infection). She seemed to be getting worse. Her coughing has turned to wheezing and her ear infection is still there. Poor thing. So we are armed with new antibiotics and an inhaler-sweet. Today has been up and down and even included the mother of all tantrums. I ended up taking her to Wal-Mart for a quick errand and for a change of scenery. She was a gem in the car and in the store and she even spent her $10 from her Grammy on a movie. We were only gone 20 minutes but she seemed to be better and even ate some lunch and loved the movie (Rio) until she fell asleep. It doesn't help that I am coming down with yet another cold and I have a scratchy throat. UGH!
I am enjoying my (fingers crossed) 2-3 hours of me time to celebrate my birthday. I made a nice little lunch and am catching up on tv, laundry, and of course blogging.
31 so far feels no different other than the fact that instead of getting pumped to go out and celebrate, I am pumped to get a free DQ blizzard after our taco dinner tonight. It's the little things!
Hoping my little sleeping angel will wake up refreshed and feeling better this afternoon!
I wanted to share, in honor of my birthday, a video I took of Lilly this past weekend. I caught her singing unprompted using a bubble wand for a microphone...so glad I had my video camera within reach!
No matter how many tantrums she has today, all I need to do is watch this. It makes me smile!
