Valentine's fun!?

As always we didn't go all out for Valentine's Day.  I did get Lilly a small gift and Valentine and Tommy and I exchanged cards.  We decided to start a new tradition and went on a family date!  We(I) chose to go to The Dark Horse Saloon because I've been craving their pig out nachos lately.  YUM!  We decided to invite our friends, The Zink's, to come along too.

You would think going out to eat during the week would be easier.  BUT with 4 energetic kiddos it wasn't exactly relaxing.  Lilly didn't really feel like sitting and eating and with a rare 20 minute nap at school she was in rare form.  Honestly she wasn't bad-she just was on hyper speed trying to keep herself awake.  Adult conversation was nil and we all laughed about how exhausted we were afterward.  Tommy and I came home, put Lilly down and went to bed ourselves.  How romantic! 

I did manage to snap some pictures for the memories and looking back it is fun to look back and smile at our fun adventure! 

Above is Lilly before school.  For some reason every time I tell her "let's take your picture" she goes and stands in front of the front door...not a pretty backdrop but her and her cheese face makes me smile.  She also found my polish from the night before and was dying for me to paint her nails. 

After school and before going out we exchanged our Valentine's.  Lilly was very excited and ripped into hers right away!

I just love these two-and I don't need a day to show it but it was certainly fun dressing up and using it as an excuse to have some fun with my family and our friends Adam, Angela, and their kids!
