Is MUCH harder than I anticipated. I mean it's only one more tiny little person right? How hard can it be? Let's just say I am flat out exhausted during the week-not sure how I have any energy to live let alone do what needs to be done. This little guy has a lot of needs. It's not just waking up and getting dressed to get out the door like we were used to with Lilly. Here is a little sampling of my crazy schedule:
5am-alarm goes off (yup gotta get up and at 'em earlier!)
5:05am-get a morning pump in
5:30am-shower and get ready
6am-get dressed and head downstairs-Tommy may be up but if I am lucky he will sleep until 6;30)
if he's up I feed him if he isn't I shove cereal in my face and wash my pump parts and pack them for work.
6:30-wake him up and Tommy gets Lilly up if she's not already. Feed him if he wasn't up earlier and get him dressed. Tommy gets Lilly dressed and picks out breakfast snack for school.
6:45am-load the car with their bags for school and my pump, purse, and work crap
7am-Kiddie Academy drop off
7:15-in my car headed to work.
8am-arrive at work...pump...work work...pump...work work...pump...work
4:30pm-leave work and decompress
5:30pm-arrive home-if I get home before the kids I change, put my 'liquid gold' away, and toss the pump parts in the sink and start dinner.
5:35pm-Tommy gets home with the kiddos
5:45pm-Feed Tommy while big Tommy takes over dinner and entertains Lilly
6pm-eat dinner
6:30-Tommy cleans up while I bathe Tommy then he bathes Lilly while I feed Tommy again at 7pm
7:30-8:00 family time
8:00-both kids are in bed
8:15-Make my lunch, pack bags for the next day, label bottles, toss in a load of wash if needed, wash pump parts for night pump session, prep anything for dinner the next day, clean up, and on Tuesday and Thursdays I try to fit in a run
9pm-pump while watching tv.
10pm-BED
And that's a good day...
This explains my lack of blogging, taking pictures with only my phone (gasp! I swore I would never do that!) and just using every ounce of free time to spend it with my kids, husband, and oh yea-training for the Baltimore Running Festival 5k...somewhere in there I also try to clean my house and grocery shop.
It's a rough life at times but I love every second of it...just still learning how to let go of things...like the fact that my laundry pile is growing by the minute and we haven't made our bed in a week!
Gotta run...hoping to post some 4 month stats for Tommy and 2.5 year stuff for Lilly...where is this time going!?
