his month you are rolling over like a champ-you want to be moving all of the time! You love spending time in your jumperoo and have even tried out the bumbo. You still love your vibrating chair and I love watching you observe all of the little toys. Instead of smacking at them you are reaching out and holding them and you giggle with excitement when you activate the music! You definitely pay attention to the details which is a trait you get from your dad! I know you will be JUST like him in that way-You're welcome future Tommy's wife-because having a husband like mine is awesome!
You love to talk and I am pretty sure you get that from me! You are always cooing and your face looks like you are saying something super important. I love it. You could just sit and talk for ever and you just light up! You are also recognizing faces. When you see your daddy you grin, when I pick you up from school you grin and I was excited to see you recognize and smile at Ms. D at school-you really like her and she does a great job at taking care of you every day. You seem to be doing well there and that make me so happy-it helps with the mommy guilt (just a little).
Some of your favorite things right now are...
Taking family walks/hikes-you love looking around at everything!
Taking a bath-this can soothe you on even your fussiest days-you just love it!
Standing-you always have a determined look on your face when you are standing on mommy or daddy's legs!
You love to cuddle! I love this too!
This month some of your firsts have been:
Swinging in a big boy swing:
Rolling over back to belly which you actually did before belly to back-way to be an over achiever!
You have found your feet and love to play with them-who needs toys!
You had your first cold :(
We did a lot this month to celebrate the end of summer days and the beginnings of those fall like days:
We went apple picking-we had so much fun-you just love being outside even when it's hot!
We hiked to Kilgore falls-last time you did this you were in my tummy. You slept through most of it!
You are still exclusively breastfed-I have to admit I am proud of myself for pushing through. You are getting hungrier so I think we officially reached a growth spurt so hopefully I can keep up with you!
You are getting about 18 or so ounces a day at school and you eat well when you get home too-you are still getting up 1-2 times to eat at night again and I am hoping this will pass soon once your growth spurt is over.
At your 4 month check up you were 25.5 inches tall and 16.4 lbs. 75th percentile for both-just like your sister. You are a growing boy! I think I may need to start washing the 9 month clothes sooner than I thought! Lilly was in 9 month sizes up to December and she was two months ahead of you! I am thinking by Christmas we will be in 12 months!!! You are currently wearing 6 months clothes and those sleepers are getting a little short. You are in size 3 diapers for the most part but can still do 2's. We are doing 3's at nighttime since you are sleeping longer and 2's during the day.
Speaking of sleeping you are getting better at night but seem to have regressed due to your cold. You are in the crib to start but often end up in the rock n play once you are up to eat which is usually around 2 or 3am. I have to admit as much as I hate it sometimes you just end up sleeping in our bed because I fall asleep nursing you-but you don't seem to mind!
You have light brown hair and beautiful blue eyes-I think they are sticking!!
You have just become such a joy-you smile all of the time and you laugh a lot-especially when mommy or daddy is being silly. You seem to be much more laid back than your sister was at your age but that's ok with mommy and daddy if you want to keep it that way!
We have been so blessed baby boy. I just look at you and your sister and I am filled with love. I cannot imagine my life without you in it. We have a busy next few months ahead of us. Fall is always such a fun but busy time of year for our family. I am looking forward to the excitement of many firsts ahead including some pretty big holidays. I am jumping the gun a bit but I have already bought you and your sister coordinating Thanksgiving outfits! I just love this time of year!
