Lilly...2 and 3/4

Lilly Grace-you are growing into such a character!  I don't know if there are many words that can accurately describe you in all of your glory.  I don't even know where to begin.  So much has happened in the past 3 months and I cannot believe that in 3 more months you will be 3 years old.  Slow down please!   I think this is my favorite age so far.  There are many great things about each stage and age, however this stage has just blown my mind.

The end of September and beginning of October we really started noticing you 'getting it'.  I cannot describe it any other way.  All of those things we just didn't think were your speed suddenly became your speed.  You started watching full movies-mainly Disney and you fell in love with the Little Mermaid!  You have been learning matching and your letters and you are sharp as a whip!  I am amazed at how quickly you memorize songs.  You became obsessed with Puff the Magic Dragon.  Recently you started a new obsession with Frozen.  You loved the movie (you saw it twice!) and the music!

You are funny.  I swear you crack me up on a daily basis!  You even laugh at your own little jokes!  Auntie Em showed you the Hump Day commercial and ever since you seem to know that Wednesday is HUMP DAAY!

The past three months have been super busy.

You cheered mommy and daddy on at the Baltimore Running festival.

This time of year we celebrate many birthdays.  You had a great time celebrating Daddy's!

We took a trip to Weber's Farm to get pumpkins and have some fall fun!  It was crazy HOT for October!

For Halloween you were a witch.  You love witches!

We celebrated Thanksgiving at our house this year and you had a BLAST!  You just were so excited to eat marshmallows for dinner (Sweet potatoes!).

You weren't so keen on picking out the tree this year but it was SOOOO cold and I think you just needed to get warm!

You had some firsts the past few months including riding a tricycle!  We had been trying to teach you and then one day you got on your bike and just went!  You LOVE riding your bike!

You saw your first movie in the theaters-"Frozen" and you LOVED it!  You are currently obsessed and I think mommy is too!

You built your first snowman!  We even had a snow day!!  It was so fun!  Daddy even took you sledding for the first time.

Some of the things you are loving right now:  ice cream, reading, playing with dolls, playing outside, watching movies, coloring and doing crafts, and singing songs and listening to music.

This year you were such a good girl that you had a visit from Santa!  It was so magical!

You officially turned 2 and 3/4's on Christmas Day.  The magic in your eyes when you saw that Santa came was awesome!

You are 31 pounds and wearing 3T clothing.  Some 4T tee shirts if they are cut small.  It's official-you can now put on your own shoes and you are getting better at putting on your coat.  You can undress yourself and you assist with getting dressed.  You still have your blankie and your papi (pacifier).  We are getting down to only a few since you like to bite holes in them.  2014 we are going papi free.  You have even started tossing them in the trash on your own-I think it's time.

I love that you are starting to pose again for me-although you still have your days.

You love school.  So much so that you even play school at home telling me you are Ms. Lilliana!  You are in Room 4 and are on a 3 year old curriculum and doing wonderful!  I loved seeing you in your element at your holiday party!

You are a daddy's girl!

I love hearing you two giggle and play together.  Of course there are times when you are a mommy's girl too but there is just something about you and your daddy!

Some of the things you have said lately that I wanted to remember...

After cutting your bangs. " no don't wash my new hair!"

"Mom I am going to eat in my tree house!"  (The top of her swing set)

"That pumpkin is HUGEmungous!

"Can we go trick or treating tonight?"
"It's not Halloween-you have to wait until next year:
"I'll be a good listener?  please?! I listening!"

"Hey mommy-where did you get that sweatshirt?  Costco?" (child has never been to a Costco in her life)

Snowed:  "look mom it's Frozen!"

What are you thankful for Lilly? "French toast sticks!"

"Can I have some m and m's?."
"No mommy they aren't good for you"

I LOVE seeing you interact with your friends now.  It's crazy but you seem so grown up.  You went to your first ever Kids Night Out at your school.  We were not even going to send you if you hadn't asked to go and you had a blast! You got to stay at school until very late and have pizza and movies while mommy and daddy went on a date!

You LOVE your little brother.  You are so so good with him.  We need to remind you to be gentle sometimes, but you are so great with him.  It is so fun to watch-especially since he loves you right back!  His eyes light up when he sees you.  It makes my heart full!

Lilly Grace, you are the sweetest most compassionate little girl. While you have your moments you are pretty much out of the temper tantrum phase.  Although the whining is there-we're working on that!  You are polite and you love to have fun!  You just love life and you sometimes remind mommy and daddy to do the same!  You love to try new things and are starting to be very independent. Mommy and Daddy are so proud of you.  We love you Lilly and are so excited for our adventures ahead!
