Tommy-10 months

My little man- you are 10 months old and I feel like you have been rapidly changing the last few weeks.  You are certainly on the MOVE and I am predicting now that you will be walking, just like your big sister, before your first birthday.  I am hoping that the benefit of always having to chase you around will get your mama some good exercise!  Your daddy and I are already laughing about finding you swinging from the ceiling fans and scaling our cabinets.  With your sister we did little baby proofing but it's not the case with you!  Daily I find things I need to baby proof as you just get more and more into things!  Good thing you are too cute!

So what have you been up to little man?  Well let me tell you:  you started climbing the stairs and boy have you gotten good at it!  You even squeal and move faster when someone chases you.  You get ANGRY when we put the gate up blocking you.  It's pretty cute actually-you do this little growl of frustration. I half expect you to find a way to scale that soon too.  You are cruising now along the couch and from the couch to the window sills.  One day we caught you scaling a mountain of pizza boxes and dangling from the window.  You even tried climbing up the cabinet handles like a ladder!  SLOW DOWN little one!!

Right now you are loving the fact that you can look out our windows.  You are always checking out what is happening outside.  This winter we haven't been out much but there have been a few days we have taken you for a walk and you do NOT like coming inside!  One of the snow days we had daddy built a snowman facing in our window that you like to look out and every time we asked you where the snowman was you crawled over and looked out the window.  You seemed very sad when he melted.  :)

You took your first ride in your 'car' and LOVED it!  (this was on one of the 'warmer' days we had recently)

This month you celebrated your first Valentine's day AND your first outing in the snow.  You had a blast.  Mommy and Daddy had off of work so it was a whole day celebration!  You also had your very first chocolate donut hole-yea for big sisters!

You attended your first friend birthday party at the Jewish Community Center-You had a blast!  You LOVED dancing to the music and playing in the ball pit!  I loved watching you just join right in with the other kids!

You have been saying dada for a while now and you have started even more gibberish.  I love that you sometimes say mama too but it's mainly when you are fussing-why is that always the case!?  You have even been saying no no no.  I am wondering if it's because I keep saying that to you when you are getting into things.

Things you have gotten into this month:  big sisters toys-you love playing with her doll house!  A house plant-dirt was everywhere and you ate a lot of it.  I don't have a picture because I was too busy washing you and your mouth off.  Wrapping paper-we lost a whole roll recently because you found mommy's stash in her closet.  No toilet paper roll is safe in our house either.  You also love to pull the blu ray player off the shelf and every book on our bookshelf.  Lately it seems as if you love getting into our stash of drinks for pizza night.  If it sounds like you are getting into every thing that is correct!

I don't have an official weight or height stats this month but you are still hovering between 9 and 12 month clothing.  You are wearing size 3 diaper although recently have been having more blow outs so I think we are going to try size 4 once this pack runs out.  I am sure you have been hitting a growth spurt lately because you have been eating like crazy.  One day for lunch to had 6 (small) meatballs!  Now of course I am sure a good amount ended up on the floor but still!  Your favorite foods are meatballs, mandarin oranges, applesauce, noodles, and yogurt.  You also really love chicken too!   You now have 2 teeth and I think more are on their way!

I love too that you are interacting now with your sister.  Even though you annoy her some times (yes that has begun).  Your eyes light up when you see Lilly.  I just love it!

You still REALLY love bath time!

You even had a 'shower' in the sink when you ate the plant...you loved it!

At the end of your 9th month you also helped me celebrate my birthday and we had more snow!!!  I think you are ready for spring just like everyone else!

Aside from getting around and getting in to everything you are also starting to show your personality. You have started waving, giving high fives, blowing kisses.  I have also taught you to flip the light switches off.  You love doing it and clapping for yourself when the light goes out! My proudest moment is seeing you do the hand motions to itsy bitsy spider-it just makes me giddy.

You imitate more now.  My favorite is when I was blowing on your food to cool it down and then you blew raspberries all over your food!

You are getting so big baby boy!

I love seeing what you and your sister were doing at the same times.  Here is a comparison shot!

Lilly (I wish I had a shot where I saw your two toothies too!)

You:

Happy 10 months Tommy!  Only 2 more months until the big one year.  How did we get here so fast!?
