Ocean City Trip: A Recap

Vacationing with two toddlers is NOT a vacation.  I repeat.  It is not a vacation.  Before going on this 'vacation' I read a lot of tips on how to make traveling with little ones a great experience and one common theme was to not call it a vacation.  It's a family trip.  I didn't';t realize how true this was until we returned.  We won't be vacationing for a while and that is ok with me.  This year our trip was a tad more stressful.  Last year Tommy was a newborn and slept the whole time.  THIS year he was a finicky toddler.  I am hoping things only go up from here.

Reflecting on our family trip, I don't even recall the difficulties because in general the kids had a blast and isn't that what this time of their lives is all about.  They stayed up late, ate candy whenever, rode on rides until their hearts content (and our wallets were empty), and enjoyed being a kid-without a care in the world.

Commence Picture overload:

We ran on the beach when we first got there.  "Don't get wet Lilly" was what we said...NOT reality...she was soaked a few seconds after!

And now some non-phone pictures

Lilly rode the Ferris wheel for the first time and was the only one NOT nervous!

And one video-we got the kids ice cream one night and Tommy had his own but he refused to have help.  He was a mess but was a happy mess once we stopped trying to lick the drips!

Not the relaxing vacation like we used to have but what a memorable trip it was!
