Check Check Check...

So no I am not playing poker with Matt Damon...just checking things off the ever growing to do list.  I think we are making progress here and I am hoping that by this weekend a majority of things will be done so we can relax as we countdown to Clarence's arrival!  I cannot believe in 2 weeks give or take Tommy and I are going to be parents! Going down the list I am pretty impressed that a lot of stuff is done, although I did add a few more to dos.  I will probably be adding things until d-day because as Tommy says: no matter what we do we still won't be prepared...
  • Re-paint the babies room
  • Baby Shower
  • purchase anything we still need for when the baby arrives
  • Meet with the pediatrician (scheduled for February 2nd!!)
  • Get new tires on the civic-hopefully happening this weekend?
  • Make and freeze some meals/stock up at BJ's   I gave up on the make and freeze meals things...I think we will be just fine!
  • Create/finalize our birth plan
  • Pack bag for the hospital
  • Finish the nursery
    • crib set up
    • dresser/changer set up and organized

  • Set up inspection for car seat Scheduled for this Monday!!
  • write and send Thank you's
  • set up newborn photo shoot spoke with Jewell on the phone to get all the details...the actual shoot will take place soon after the baby is born.  We are so excited!
  • clean my old hamper We actually found a cute one at Babies R Us so I wont be using my old hamper.
  • clean out car
  • finish last minute packing and bag for Tommy (make list in case it doesn't get done before it's time so I can pack without forgetting anything)
  • research baptism info (ok we're late on this one I know...)
  • Set up baptism/class
  • purchase washer and dryer
  • finish basement cleaning/organizing
  • make sure taxes are taken care of
  • Set up Bill Pay for any bills due this month
  • wash some clothes for baby
  • get house clean and organized-keep it that way!
  • set up pack n play
  • get swing
  • set up Travel Stroller
  • stock up on groceries/hit up BJ's one last time
I have to say that Tommy has been such a trooper. Not only has he been working 2 jobs (some days working from 8:30 in the morning to 11:00 at night as well as working on the weekends!)  He's been working around the house making sure the washer/dryer is set up and fixing up the basement, setting up the crib, doing housework, and helping with dinners when he can.  I just don't know what I would do without him.  I am truly spoiled!

Here are some pictures of our work in progress:
The Hubby in his get it done pants setting up our washer and dryer
 Setting up our beautiful crib!
 Proud Papa to be!

Our beautiful DaVinci Emily crib from Simply Baby Furniture-Thanks Mom and Dad!!

Added the bedding and some finishing touches-the crib is all set-I am in love with the Peter Rabbit bedding from Pottery Barn Kids.

Clarence's blanket is waiting for him/her!  Thanks Gram for giving us THE blanket!
Pooh and Piglet...so adorable.  Thanks Ali C and Steph!!!

I was so excited today to come home to one of my Etsy buys!!!  It's a hand painted excerpt from the Velveteen Rabbit.  It's even more beautiful in person then it was on the website! I cannot wait to find the perfect spot for it in the nursery!

And here is a close-up of the artwork at the bottom.  It's gorgeous!

I cannot wait to get everything else set up.  This weekend will be dedicated to scratching some more things off of my growing to-do list!  Hopefully Clarence hangs in there for a few more days!
