I am definitely in nesting mode as I have been shopping, cleaning, and organizing like a maniac this weekend-I just cannot sit still! While really it could be any day now, at my 37/38 week appointment this past Tuesday, Dr. Hajj seems to think I have a few more weeks left. I am secretly hoping the baby comes on or before Saint Patrick's day so he or she can wear the Saint Paddy's day outfit we got at our shower! It's crazy how much difference a week makes at this point. My tummy seems as if it's grown in a matter of days! It looks like I swallowed a basketball!! Here's the tummy shot:
Don't mind the outfit...those are my get er done clothes :)
I definitely got a lot accomplished this weekend and since I took off Monday, I get an extra day to get some more stuff done including getting the infant car seat installed and inspected and to finish the downstairs cleaning and organizing. We don't have much space in our house to store things so being organized before the baby comes is key! Hoping to also get some paperwork that has gathered on our kitchen table organized and filed. In a nut shell this is what I got done in 2 days...and boy do my feet hurt (which is why now I am sitting on the couch with my feet up blogging).
Shopped: Wal-mart, BJ's, Giant
Went to the bank
Cleaned and organized bathrooms, linen closet, and medicine cabinets.
Cleaned/dusted master br, nursery, and vacuumed upstairs.
The guest room is currently the baby stuff staging area so I didn't touch that just yet.
Set up: infant seat and baby bathtub and bumbo but that just requires you to take it out of the box!
Polished my old rocking chair and baby cradle
Took car to Mr. Tire for new tires
Attempted the travel system and pack n play but decided to leave them for Tommy when I could barely even get into the boxes!
Dusted and picked up living room, finished laundry (folded and put away thank you!)
Cleaned half of the kitchen...the other half just needs to be organized...papers all over the kitchen table!
Cooked Sunday dinner for Tommy when he came home on his "lunch" break
(Sloppy Joes, noodles, and beans)
Organized cabinets (especially my baking cabinet-it needed it!)
Made room for bibs and bottles in the kitchen.
and finally...I attempted a new recipe I found on one of the blogs I follow (I cannot seem to remember which blog so if you recognize it let me know so I can give you/them credit!) for Peanut Butter Truffle Brownies! They look delish so far-just waiting for the chocolate to harden before busting into them! Blog post with review to come!
Whew! I am looking forward to spending some time with Tommy when he gets home from work tonight. I miss him and I am so glad he has some time off this week in the evenings...this may be the last week we have together as just the two of us!
Happy 38 weeks Clarence!!!
