Baby you're a Firework!

Lilly's anthem (as Tommy says) is Katy Perry's "Firework".  It's so funny.  Maybe because she recognizes it since I sang it all the time around the house while she was in my tummy-Tommy loved that! She definitely reacts to the song when we sing it to her or she hears it.  One morning she was particularly scrunchy (that's what I call it when she gets upset since she doesn't really ever reach the screaming bloody murder stage (which I am so grateful for!) I started rocking her in my arms and singing the chorus to the song.  Immediately she stopped and just stared at me making her Zoolander face like this:

I just kept on singing and she kept on staring.  It was so funny!  I think she is definitely a musical baby.  Tommy and I were joking that when she's 15 and tries out for American Idol she will sing "Firework" as the song from her birth year.

Lilly is such a wonderful baby-I think she gets her demeanor from her Daddy.  It's really funny to see certain traits coming out in her every day from each of us.  Poor thing looks like she will have her mommy's hair and she looks just like I did as a baby.  She definitely has her Daddy's feet AND she sleeps just like her Daddy:

Lilly also gets the hiccups every day after she eats! She's a guzzler! When she does I just stare at her and laugh!  On her one week birthday I caught it on camera- she always had them in my tummy and it's so funny to see them in real life.  Here is the video I took.  Pardon my annoying baby talk commentary!  ;)

I will warn all you blog followers in advance for the baby overload.  Really that's all I am thinking about and my world has revolved around her for the past week and a half so that's all I really have to write about and frankly all I want to write about.  I love our little baby girl and I cannot remember what life was like before her!  I cannot wait until I can take her places and show her off!  Soon though!  She's just so darn cute.  My camera is always on hand to get some shots of her...so here are some for your viewing pleasure..some include the milestones in Lilly's short little life so far!

Tommy and I are really enjoying being parents-even though we are a tad sleep deprived-it's well worth it!  Lilly is currently sleeping now so I should probably squeeze in a nap.  It's a beautiful afternoon and the windows are open.  The house is nice and fresh and it's currently 77 degrees inside-no wonder she's sleepy today!
