Thomas Everett-month 2

Dear Thomas Everett.  You need to stop growing up on me.  My days cuddling you in between running around with your sister are numbered.  Just one day before you turn 3 months I will be leaving you all day and heading back to work.  It's going to be hard but I just know you will be in good hands.  It will be harder for mommy I am sure! But enough about that and let's enjoy the time we have left-there is a lot still to look forward to.  Now let's look behind us at your second month.

It's hard to believe you have only been part of our family for 2 months.  It seems like you have always been here-you complete our family.  I guess in some ways you have always been with us-we have just only known you for a little over 8 weeks.  This past month has been much more eventful than your first.  You experienced a lot of firsts this month.

Your first trip to the zoo (sorry most of these pictures were of your sister...you slept the whole time while mommy carried you!)

Your first race-and you even won a medal!  You rocked it in your sleep!

You took your first trip to the beach (you spent most of the time in the condo but you did make a beach appearance!)

And you had your first bottle, and your first babysitter (Grammy and Gramps) while mommy and daddy went to dinner.

You are growing!  You are now wearing size 2 diapers and while you are mostly still in 3 month sizes I have washed your 6 month clothes and you have been fitting into some outfits already.  I have put away your new born sizes and even some 3 month clothes that you have already grown out of.  I swear baby clothing is so inconsistent even the same brand there are items cut smaller or bigger so right now you are in that transition stage just like your sister was at 2 months.  You did so well at your 2 month check up with Dr. Minton.  You weighed 12 ponds 10 ounces.  75th percentile for weight and height-just like your sister!  Dr. Minton said you looked great!

This month you also celebrated your first holiday-the 4th of July!  It's one of mommy's favorites next to Christmas.  You also celebrated some birthdays and your first father's day with daddy!

We are finally getting you on to some sort of schedule.  The EASY method works great for you and for mommy since you are more predictable and it let's me plan better making mommy and you much happier!  For those who haven't discovered the EASY method you need to try it!  You are more alert but still sleeping about 15 hours a day.  You are smiling and kicking and waving your arms when you are excited-i love it!  You also slept through the night one night!  That's right a whole 8 hours straight!  It only happened once but for the most part you are up at 2/2:30 to eat and right back to sleep til 6 or 6:30 so that works too!

You love the front carrier and your swing.  You aren't too fond of the car seat unless you are sleeping and tummy time you could do without-we have come up with more creative tummy times-like on mommy's chest or the yoga ball!  You also got a WubbaNub and love it!

Your eyes are super blue and I don't think they will change (Lilly's were pretty much a dark shade of grey and then turned brown) but you've got mamas baby blues!  You have light brown hair and in the light kind of has a hint of red and you have super light eyebrows.  Your complexion is lighter than your sisters.  You are definitely more fair!

You are for sure a mamma's boy right now.  I kind of like it!

And here are a few I-pad shots...

Finally here is a comparison shot of you and your sister-as much as I think you look alike, looking at your picture side by side make me see how different you also are.  I mean the hair for one thing.  Lilly also seemed much more expressive so maybe you will be more laid back?  Your faces are also a different shape.

Tommy, you are such a sweet boy.  You love your big sister, your a mamas boy, and you love talking with your daddy.  We cannot imagine our life without you and it's been so fun watching you grow.  It amazes me how much you have change in such a short time.  You and Lilly are the best things we have ever done and I am so proud of you little boy.  Happy 2 months!
