We had a wonderful Father's Day (I know I did and I am pretty sure Tommy did too!). We spent the day as a family and it was one of those days that went as I pictured (with the exception of one incident with Lilly's medicine).
When Lilly was just a little over 1 (her and Tommy's second Father's Day) we started a tradition to go out to breakfast to Waffle House and we have gone every year since and this year was no exception.
We had to take a picture like every year before! I was a bit rushed for this years picture-everyone wanted to get inside to eat! Looks like Tommy wore the same shirt as last year! Ha!
Little Tommy's appetite was back in full force-so much so that I couldn't feed him fast enough he had to grab the eggs right off my plate!
After breakfast we ran a few errands to get some items for dinner and after Tommy's first nap of the day, we packed a picnic and went to Kilgore Falls. I think this is going to be a tradition we keep now too! The kids had a blast and Little Tommy was content all day just to sit and toss rocks into the water.
We came home for naps/rest time (Lilly is hit or miss with a nap these days) and we prepped dinner/watched some soccer/sat outside/enjoyed some adult beverages.
After nap time my in-laws came over to enjoy an awesome dinner. We had yummy beef tenderloin, corn on the cob, grilled shrimp, and watermelon. After we had ice cream cones for dessert!
The kids ended up getting to bed a little late and by 9pm both Tommy and I were ready for bed ourselves. It was a great day!
