Fit Friday-CHEATING

I will give up a lot of things in order to loose weight but I HAVE to indulge a teeny bit if I am going to stay sane.  My mantra is everything in moderation-even things that are good for you aren't good if you over indulge or abuse them right!?  Whenever I seem to tell anyone I am watching what I eat or that I've been doing a modified Paleo people always chime in with:  "Don't you miss -Insert bad for you food here.  A lot of times the answer is no.  Sometimes it's no with a secret (but now I am!) and then there are times I shout:  "YES!!!!".  For the most part  I am able to resist the breads and bagels.  Ice cream and chocolate?  Not so easy.  Pizza-gimmie gimmie.  I have found the best solution to having a successful lifestyle change is to give myself one day of cheating for one meal (and it's usually dinner) and then 3 small cheats within the week.  Honestly my cheats are small and the less sweets and junk I eat, the less of that sweet or junk I need to satisfy the craving.  SO everything in moderation. 

Here are my favorite cheats:

Pizza night-this is usually scratch that, ALWAYS my cheat.  Friday night is pizza night in our family so that is my cheat dinner.  It's yummy and after a hard week at work pizza and beer are necessary.  Sometimes we even add dessert of an ice cream cone to that 'meal'


Small Cheats:

BIG M and M's-so these are new and awesome.  I only need to eat 3 and I am satisfied.  There are days I just need chocolate so I have some.


Cereal:

Some days I have coffee for breakfast and other days when I have some time or am STARVING I eat some cereal.  If you are going to eat carbs-it's better early on anyway!


Coffee with cream and sugar:

Not Paleo friendly but I cannot drink black coffee...sugar and half and half go in my coffee always.  It's good and makes me happy end of story.
